Are You REAL ID Ready?

U.S. travelers must have a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities. Enforcement began May 7, 2025.

All states are now issuing REAL ID-compliant driver’s licenses and ID cards. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) strongly recommends obtaining a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, state-issued ID card, or another form of acceptable identification before the deadline to ensure a smooth experience at airport security checkpoints.
