Water Safety Message on Display at PBIA

The Drowning Prevention Coalition (DPC) of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and the Department of Airports recently partnered with Clear Channel to produce a drowning prevention message for presentation at Palm Beach International Airport. The water safety information is currently being shown on all LCD displays in baggage claim areas. The message highlights the "ABCDs" of water safety and appears between the advertisements and announcements displayed on the large-screen monitors. Multi-agency projects such as this exemplify how partnerships can provide valuable public safety information to residents and visitors to Palm Beach County.

The DPC suggests that everyone uses the ABCDs of water safety to stay safe in and around water, but it is up to each individual to make sure a drowning incident does not happen.

For more information on water safety lessons and water safety/drowning prevention education, please visit the DPC website at www.pbcgov.org/dpc or call 561-616-7068. The coalition is funded by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners and the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County.
