Public Invited to Free Reception at PBIA Art Exhibit

Palm Beach County's Art in Public Places program invites the public to attend a free reception for the "Art at the Airport" exhibit at the Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, 5:30 - 7 p.m. It is located on Level 2 of the Main Terminal. Parking is available in Short Term levels 4-7.

The current exhibition showcases abstract and figurative paintings, photography, digital and mixed-media works. More than 95 artists submitted their artwork, and 19 were accepted into the show. All featured art was created by artists currently residing in Palm Beach County although some were born in Europe, South America and other areas of the U.S. Artists will be on hand to meet and discuss their artwork with the public - a unique interactive opportunity.

Artists include Tula Antikainen from Atlantis; Michael Rocheford from Boca Raton; Robert Catapano, Bill Rosenberg and Claudio Gelis Staros from Boynton Beach; Karen Rosenblatt and Maria Foladori Weiss from Delray Beach; Margie Agoston from Jupiter; Bonnie D. Bruner and Talia Cervetti from Lake Worth; Karen E. Hightower from North Palm Beach; Mark L. Cohen, Melinda Moore and EJ Morales from Palm Beach Gardens; Kerby L. Glenn from Riviera Beach; Dani De Maio from Singer Island; Anthony Burks Sr., Sandy Friedkin from West Palm Beach.

Voted third best airport in the U.S. and sixth best in the world by Condé Nast, PBIA has become a premiere venue to showcase quality, original artworks by Palm Beach County's finest emerging and professional artists.
